Have no phone to confirm "added security" - why not just use email to confirm?

Cannot join because I have no phone.

I am deaf, I have no use for a phone.

Just want to confirm via email.

The "added security" is discriminatory (and also superfluous, having a cellphone confirms nothing).

Will I be allowed to join?

Hi Bee,

When verifying a phone number the user is sent a code via a text message. So they aren't required to speak on the phone to complete the process. That said, since you don't have a phone to complete that process, we'll have one of our team members reach out to you directly and assist you.
