Help getting start with upwork as a freelancer

Hi guys..I am new here in Upwork platform and I got the rising talent badge after completing my profile here. With the whole connects available, I was trying hard to get a start in upwork. But unfortunately I am not even getting a message from the clients. I am sure that if getting a project to start with, I can leverage it. But finding difficult to deal with it right now. Can anybody have any suggestion on this matter? Is it that much difficult to get an opening here in upwork?
