Help needed: Current job not showing up on my profile under active contracts

Hi! I'm new to upwork, so I'm not yet very familiar with the system. But I accepted a job offer several days ago but it hasn't showed up under 'My Jobs'. I was wondering if this is normal and if I will still be paid for this job once it is completed.

No, it sounds like you didn't really get a legitimate contract on Upwork. If you accepted a real offer, it would be on the My Jobs page.

For a legitimate offer, you should see something like this in Upwork's messenger:

Joe Client sent an offer

Milestone 1: <whatever it is you're supposed to do> (this may also be an hourly rate instead of a milestone)

Due: <due date> (this line may or may not be there)

View details (a link to the offer on Upwork where you can accept or reject it).

If you don't see something like this, the client hasn't given you the job. They either don't know what they're doing, or (more likely) they are lying to you.
