Should a high number of existing proposals on a job posting (or similary high number of active interviews etc.) be a deterrant to submit a proposal for that job? Especially if it has been opened a long time ago. Even if the client posting it is active on the post recently.
I suppose I am asking because I have seen much advice relating to this and the consensus seems to be with so many proposals submitted already and activity going on, chances of the client seeing your late comer proposal is almost zero and connects may just be wasted. Another related question would be: Does the client get a notification when a new proposal comes in?
I am not entirely sold on the advice I have read thru research so far though so decided to ask here for an honest feedback, as a new comer.
