Hourly job in progress with an unresponsive client

Hi,

I was given an hourly job a while back and it was going smoothly until a month back when the client went off the grid. I'm not getting any response at all. Should I end the contract or keep it hanging and wait for a response from him? What would be the pros and cons of keeping a job in progress that is not active?

Many thanks!

Hi Imran,

Both the client and the freelancer have the option to end a contract. You can end the contract yourself if the client is no longer responsive. If you are concerned with your JSS, please know that inactivity on a contract will not affect your JSS negatively. The score may decrease if the freelancer receives poor private or public feedback on a contract or jobs completed in the past, with great feedback falling off of the calculation.
