Hi!

I am all new here and I got my first job. It is paid hourly.

My contractor wants to pay me or to submit those first hours that i worked.

She doesnt want to end conract.

Do I have to wait and Upwork will withdraw money or there is something I need to do?

please help Smiley Happy

Did you track your hours using the Upwork tracker? In that case the client will be charged automatically on Monday.

re: "My contractor wants to pay me or to submit those first hours that i worked"

That's not how this works. You are supposed to log your time while you work, using Upwork's desktop time-tracking application.

You do not "submit" hours.

Your client does not do anything to pay you for your work. The client is AUTOMATICALLY billed.

If you forgot to log your time, then you can add time using manual time (if your client has authorized this), or you can ask your client to pay you using the Pay Bonus tool

re: "She doesnt want to end contract."

That's fine. Whether or not the client ends the contract HAS NOTHING TO DO with whether you get paid, or when you get paid.

Yes.

You have to wait.

Upwork withdraws money from the client's credit card (or PayPal account) AUTOMATICALLY on a set schedule, once per week.

There is nothing you need to do. There is nothing the client needs to do. It's automatic.

You just need to log your time using the time-tracker tool.

Thank you Prestone!

I will learn all about Upwork eventually.

You helped me a lot. Now I don't have to worry about payments.

thanks again.
