I've recently encountered some issues with job posts on Upwork, and I'd appreciate your advice. I often find job listings where clients post jobs but don't review the submitted proposals or engage with freelancers. For example, a job I applied to was last viewed by the client over a week ago, and there has been no further activity (no interviews or invites).
Additionally, some job posts have unclear or incomplete descriptions, making it challenging to understand the requirements and submit accurate proposals. These issues can be frustrating and time-consuming.
How do you handle such situations? Is there a way to identify potentially inactive or unclear job posts before applying? Any tips on flagging or reporting such posts effectively?

If the job description is unclear, I sometimes avoid it. But if it looks promising, I send a short proposal asking for more details. This can prompt the client to update the post. If you find a job post that's really unclear or seems off, you can flag it for Upwork to review. This helps keep the platform's job listings high quality. In my proposals, I highlight my relevant skills and ask specific questions about the project. This shows I'm interested and helps clarify any unclear details. Hope this helps!

Thank you for the advice on how to assess the hire rate before applying. Could you recommend whether it's worth applying to jobs if the client's hire rate is:
Less than 25%?
Less than 40%?
Less than 50%?
Greater than 70%?
Which hire rate is considered the best indicator of potential engagement and success before applying for job proposals?
