How can i verify my account

Hi guys!

im new here in upwork and im from philippines, i need to know how to will i get my "identify verification" , because i have a friend with an upwork account told me that i need to verify my account first, but i didnt get any emails or video calls from the agents, i want to know if its really takes time? because my account was created about a week ago.

Hi Jive, 

You should be able to search for projects, and send out proposals for jobs that fit your skills and experience. If the team finds the need to verify your identity, you will be notified through an email.
