How do we know that the proposal is not already taken by a freelancer?

Hey everyone!

I'm new here & I've noticed something confusing; Proposals can still be open although they are dated a month ago or more. They might also having someone already working on it & yet still there open for applications.

Now, that gets me a bit confused. Shouldn't the proposal be closed once the client has engaged with someone? To avoid unnecessary applications & loss of connects!!

Hi Mounia,

Thank you for your message. Sometimes the client may need to hire more than one freelancer on a job post. That said, the job post will still be available after hiring a freelancer.

Thank you,
