Hey everyone, I have a question - How do you know what to showcase in your portfolio?
I have lots of samples of past works, but I can't shake the feeling that if I publish them, I would be giving away information and ideas that belong to the companies I worked for, and I don't want to do that.
So, how do you guys decide what to include and what not to? Is it ok to show only screenshots of some of the files rather than the whole document? Or maybe is it better to provide references instead of work samples?
Any ideas and suggestions will be helpful.
Thanks

You need to have permission from prior clients if you want to show your work in your portfolio. References probably will not work, since no potential client is going to check them out. Your portfolio should demonstrate your skills.
