How to start my first job

Hello Upwork Community!

My client hired me yesterday (Sep.22, 2021) and my contract also started on the same date. But my question is, why until now I don't have a work to do nor my client is not messaging me for the details of my job. This is my first job in Upwork, so this kind of platform is very new to me.  Kindly give me an advice of what I have to do. Thank you so much.

In general, don't accept contracts until you have what you need to start working. Now all you can do is to wait until the client gets in touch.

Without acrimony, but while you wait, in addition to applying for more jobs in case this one gets stuck, you should catch up on how the platform works.

It is a good platform but with a lot of twists and turns.
The forum has a lot of information as well as Help & Support.
