I'm new to Upwork and having trouble getting started.
Trying to compete my profile but I don't have a cell phone to receive a text message with the security code.
Therefore I am unable to upload my profile.
I see in the forums this has been a longstanding issue for some people.
Does it ever get resolved?
Does a person need to have a cell phone to use Upwork?

At one point, I had tried to create an Upwork account and used my phone number. To my knowledge, the account never went through the entire process. Well, now I am trying to create a new account and cannot verify my phone number because "this number is already being used with another profile."
