I work as a freelance writer for an ethnic newspaper in the USA. I want to apply for work on Upwork.com but all I see that freelance work only open to those working in the US.
I am a historian and published author.
I do have a US bank account and social security number.
Can I apply for any jobs in history, historical writing and historical research or thing associated with the humanities?

Hi Stavros,
Freelancers from Australia are welcome to work on Upwork. It seems like you are referring to jobs that have location requirements. Not all jobs posted on Upwork require that freelancers should be located in the U.S unless they have specifically added this information on their job post. If you are a freelancer who is in the U.S and would like to work on U.S only jobs, you will be required to complete the location verification process; however, if you are not in the US, then you can submit proposals to jobs that do not have location requirements.
