Identity Verification call message

Hello,

I am having this message displayed on my profile when I am looking for work proposals.

"Action required: Before you can submit job proposals, you must complete your identity verification video call with Upwork. You can initiate this call by chatting with an agent here."

I am clicking on the link but it gets me to a page where I am puzzled which to choose. Can anyone guide me, why is this message popping up and how can I resolve this issue?"

Hi Sweety, 

When you click on the link, you should be redirected to this page. Please make sure to login on the page so that when you scroll down, the "Verify Your Profile" button at the bottom appears.

Let us know if there are issues on your end.

I am having the same problem. When I click the verify button it does nothing. I have cleared my cache and cookies, and still nothing. 

Now Upwork has suspended works I am completing saying im not verified. WTF?

This is also a gentle reminder to please only a use a picture of yourself for your profile image as it is a violation of the Upwork ToS to use a different image other than yourself.

due to a domestic violence situation I cannot post a photo of myself on my profile for my familys protection. I do not see why this should stop me from being able to use this platform.

Now my account has been verified by the Upwork Team.

try using a different browser, like Firefox and click the link that was sent via e-mail. If you are still unable to find the chat box, let us know and we will escalate your issue.
