In the US but live & work in Berlin

Hi,

I'm an American, but I live and work abroad in Berlin, Germany. I have all the applicable VISAs and permits and am a registered resident of Berlin. I am currently in the US visiting family. I was meant to return home in a few weeks, but as the pandemic situation develops I'm unsure what ramifications that will have for my ability to travel and cross borders.

My question is how this will work with/affect my Upwork profile. It forces me to use a US location and US phone number because I'm in the United States at the moment, but I do not live here and am not based here. My bank account and phone number are German, will this work? I shouldn't need to fill out a W9 form? What else should I consider?
