I am writing to inquire about a minus 20% fee that I am still being charged even though I have exceeded $500 in earnings.

I am a bit confused and would appreciate it if you could help me understand why this is happening.

Could you please provide more information on this fee and how it is calculated?

I want to make sure that I am fully informed and understand all the fees associated with my Upwork account.

The fee is based on earnings by client, not total earnings.  Once you hit $500 with a particular client, over one or more contracts, the fee will be reduced.
