Hello Upwork community!

As a newbie here, i thought i'd ask: can i send a potential candidate a zoom/bit.ly link in order to schedule an interview with him? How does the interview procedure work on this upwork platform?

Yes, you may do that.

Upwork places no restrictions on how you communicate with freelancers.

It works however you want it to work.

You have an opportunity to communicate with the freelancer. If you decide to hire the freelancer, then you click the "Hire" button to officially send an offer to the freelancer.

The simple truth is that Upwork allows a great deal of latitude in regards to how clients "interview" freelancers. You don't need to ask any questions or spend any time. Or you can spend more time... To be polite, please don't abuse the privilege. But Upwork doesn't monitor interviews or require that they be conducted on the Upwork platform. Just make sure that if you hire a freelancer, you do so through the Upwork tool and pay the freelancer through Upwork.
