Hi All,

I am talking to an employer who wants me to do an audit for her. She wants to schedule a phone call with me to make sure we're on the same page regarding her needs and for me to tell her what I will do for her.

How do these interviews work? Is it usually conducted like a regular interview where I'll need to ask questions and submit my previous work?

It's all up to the client as to how they conduct the interview, really.

Some people like phonecalls, others Skype, and some just look at your portfolio + proposal and make an offer based on that.

However, if they want to use Google Hangouts, it's almost always a scam.

In any case, just make sure that you don't give them any personal information, etc. Everything they need to hire you is already provided by Upwork, so they have no reason to ask for ID or anything like that. All they should need in an interview is an answer to any questions they have related to the job, and whether or not they feel you would be a good fit.
