Location issue

I am attempting to submit a proposal to a gig that requires US freelancers ONLY but the system displays a message about me not qualifying as being a US freelancer when my profile clearly contains information about my US location. Can this be remedied?

Hi Jeff, clients can set preferences for the freelancer's location. Specifically, it looks like this client set a time zone preference for UTC -7:00 (Mountain Time Zone) while you're in the Pacific Time Zone. Since this is a preference and not a requirement, you should still be able to apply for the job if you feel like you have all the skills and experience necessary to complete it. Thank you!
