DO NOT add manual time to your work logs unless you know and completely trust a client.

Even if a client tells you they will "allow" you to add manual time to your work log, they never have any obligation whatsoever to actually pay you for that work time.

Manual time has no payment protection, so you should only do it if you have good vibes from a client and it seems Upwork people don't really have good loser radar.
