Money in my Upwork account escrow, but they are not using it.

I have a set contract amount, which includes many payments that ADD UP to the contract amount. Every time I go to give a partial payment, it tries to pay the whole amount. My agreement is per unit that we agreed to, but I put a contract amount in just to get started. As the amount of esIt is open-ended, and it is not hourly. How do I fix this?

Hi LisaRenee,

I can see you're referring to the contract's first milestone. An active milestone can't be updated, but you can release a partial payment when that first milestone is delivered. The remaining funds will be available in Escrow to fund future milestones and you'll be able to fund only what you need for each.
