My client already has an upwork account

We have agreed that we want to work on Upwork together, she already has a client account so this wouldn't be a "Direct Contact" situation. How can we find each other and work together without her having to post the job in public? Can I find her or does she have to find me? Also, will she have to pay the normal fees, and will I have to fork over the normal commissions?

That is not allowed.

The Direct Contract program may be used with clients who do not have an Upwork account.

You may be confusing "Direct Contract" with "Direct Hire."

You ARE allowed to do Direct Hire.

You can send the client a link to your profile and she can hire you directly from there. And yes, the normal commission will apply.
