My client refers me to his friend to do a 3d of his friend's house

My client refers me to his friend to do a 3d of his friend's house that is not connected in upwork. Can I accept the reccommendation or it is a violation? He messaged me now and I told him that I need to check first with upwork TOS if it is allowed or not. I want to abide in upwork TOS to avoid account hold.

Thank you.

Best Regards

You can accept it ONLY if the payment is going to be done on Upwork.

Otherwise you'd be in violation of Upwork's terms of service.

Your client's friend would have to create an Upwork account and hire you here.

Noted Ma'am. I have to decline my client's offer. It is better than to risk my account to be suspended. Thank you

Why didn't you just suggest that the client hire you on Upwork?

Hi Sheena! We may now create and send a contract to our non-Upwork client through 'Direct Contract' for a flat fee of only 3.4% Your client accepts and deposits the contract payment in escrow.
