My status some times show me offline

Hey all the gurus,
With the passage of time, I am getting to know more and more about how I can work on Upwork and its features and how I can best use it to enhance my business.
I have noticed while using it on my cell phone, it some times show me offline, which is strange because I am always online and keep Upwork application invoked in the background, to show myself available for my clients. But when I return to it, some times it shows me offline. What could be the reason?

Hi Abid, unless you're logged in and have Upwork open in a browser window or are using the Apps actively (not on the background), it'll show your status as offline or away. Also, if your status is Invisible, it'll show you as away. Thank you!

Thanks for replying to my query, so that means if I log in through the browser on my cell phone, that will show me online forever?

Hi Abid, 

Unless you are actively using the app or the Messages in your browser, you will be shown as idle.
