NEW TO UPWORK

Hi everyone,

I'm a new freelancer here and ever since I joined I noticed that most of the job offers ask to contact them outside the platform (Telegram). They requested for a security fee of $30 - $60 before I can be given a job. Is this how it works on Upwork, please advise?

No, this isn't how it works in Upwork, no genuine job would ask you to pay to get hired. 

What you can do is flag the account and report it to Upwork.
