Name mismatch due to absence of last name

My name on ID and bank accounts has only a first name. However, Upwork account needs a last name due to which there is a name mismatch error when I add my payment method. How can I resolve this issue?

Hi Amulya,

In cases like these we would suggest a user to use a formal salutation in the first name field (like Mr., Mrs, Ms.) and their name in the last name field. That would be unlikely to cause issues with adding your bank account. Thank you.

I have added the same. It says the name will be updated in 48 hours. Should
I add the bank account details again after that? Or will the verification
process commence automatically after name change approval?
