If I make my profile public and set myself to available, I will receive invites to good jobs nearly every day.

I offer specialized, in-demand services.

You do not offer specialized services.

Your profile title:

Data Entry & Web Research Specialist

There is no reason for a client to seek you out. You don't offer anything different than what countless other freelancers offer. There is no reason for a client to send any invites at all if they simply want to hire "Data Entry & Web Research Specialist".

They can simply post a public job and let job proposals roll in from an endless supply of undifferentiated entry level freelancers such as yourself.

If you have been working on Upwork for two years doing Data Entry & Web Research Specialist and think you should be getting invites... then I am not even sure you really understand the platform. Sorry.

It looks like you worked a large number of hours for one client so far. If that client no longer needs you, it would be a good idea to ask them to close the project so that they can leave you a feedback review - a good review might help a bit. But you'll still need to send proposals and not wait for clients to invite you; as Preston says, there are huge numbers of freelancers in your category, so there's very little chance of clients finding your profile if they do a search.

If you're still working for that one client and they're happy with your work, you could try asking for an increase in your hourly rate. An extra dollar or two per hour might make very little difference to them, and a reasonable client wouldn't expect to hire a freelancer and not have any price increase after a year and a half has gone by.
