I am fairly new to Upwork, but I have been writing professionally since 2011 -- both as a part-time freelancer and then as a full-time writer/editor/proofreader for an organization.
I have a couple clients on Upwork who are great, but I don't have the wealth of reviews or hours that many clients have listed as requirements. When I bid a job, I make sure to submit samples of my work, an overview of my experience and my website.
It's mostly crickets, so I'm wondering if the fact that they see I am flagged as "not having x amount of Upwork hours" etc. etc. is automatically turning them off? I don't want to just jump on any job for the sole purpose of building up hours and reviews.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks all!
