Hi,

I received an invite today. I have accepted the offer and replied.

After this

1) how do I know client has assigned me the job?

2)where do I find the files which client has sent?

3)How do I know the payment is funded?

4)Can some one explain step by step the procedure from sending a proposal to submitting a job

on hourly budget as well as fixed budget?

Hi Reshma,

Don't start working on the project before the client sends you an offer, you accept it and see an active contract on your My Stats page. Also, check if the client's payment method is verified. 

Please, check out this thread where you can find all of the information needed about getting started here. I would suggest to spend extra time on the Safety First section in order to learn how to protect yourself.

If client hires you, then you can see your job under "MY job Section"

2)where do I find the files which client has sent?

Client can send you files through upwork or any other portal as he/she want. getting files from any other portal is not voilation of upwork policies. but do not ever accept payments outside of upwork.

3)How do I know the payment is funded?

if your project is funded then the contract will show you the money in Escro.

4)Can some one explain step by step the procedure from sending a proposal to submitting a job

on hourly budget as well as fixed budget?

This depend upon the job posting of client or how client wants to hire you.

For hourly contract you have to track time through upwork app.

but in fixed contract no such requirement to track time is there.
