This is NOT the way to start on Upwork - by copying something from the internet. Could you be more obvious? You didn't even read what you copied, otherwise you would have noticed the fill in the blanks. Do you honestly think clients would hire you after seeing that?

If you're honest you'll get help, if you're not, you won't.

In fairness, the blanks seem to suggest that this is a template offered for such purposes. While using a template (especially a badly written one) doesn't make a great impression and not bothering to read it and fill in the blanks makes a worse one, this is not the same "crime" as copying another freelancer's profile and not necessarily dishonest.

There is a certain mindset that most of us who are regular forum participants do not really understand. This is the perspective of people who see the Internet as a source of information and a place from which can freely copy material, without fully understanding the implications. Copying a profile template or copying the profile of someone else is no different than downloading a website template or copying a logo or copying an article written by somebody else and altering it to fit one's needs. For people with this mindset, it is all the same, and it is all acceptable because it can be done physically.

That depends on who was first: Chrissy Grosso on LinkedIn (whose overview it is and who seems pretty legit) - or the company that offers resume templates... and where the OP borrowed the content from.

Either way - bad decision.
