No connects since registration (months ago). Is this a bug?

I registered for Upwork months ago but have not received any connects. My account still has 0. Why? What do I have to do to get any connects?

Hi James,

Could you please try completing your profile and then going to your Memberships & Connects section of your setting and select a membership plan? You can choose the Basic plan which has no additional cost.

Upwork has not given any free connects since June 2019 - nobody has been getting free connects. Starting THIS month you will get 10 free connects per month, but will probably need to purchase more anyway.
