No work as yet!

Hi!  

I joined Upwork over a month ago, completed my profile, put in more than 20 proposals, got my Rising Talent badge etc. but still no work!

I am obviously missing something - not doing something right.

Would truly appreciate suggestions from experienced freelancers and customers on what I need to improve on to get my first proposal. I seem to have lost the rising talent badge too (but natural, I suppose).
