Not receiving connects as a new account

Hi there! I created an Upwork account on July 10th, 2024, and I haven't received any connects since then. I have checked my Connects History and there's still nothing. I would be so grateful if you could help me with this issue. Thank you!

Hi all,

 

Upwork currently requires new freelancers to do one of two things before being able to submit a proposal for a job: subscribe to our Freelancer Plus membership plan for $19.99 USD a month, or purchase Connects. After you fulfill this requirement you will also receive 50 free Connects to further help you get started on Upwork.

I don't know what you mean, but if you just created the account and are waiting for the free connects, now, before receiving them, you must either buy 100 connects for $15 or buy Freelance Plus.

Good morning, I am writing again because a couple of days ago I wrote about a failure that was giving me the platform to buy connections, I was given possible solutions but none worked for me and I had trouble answering and I closed the ticket, giving me solved my problem, but in reality I still can not find a solution and I need help please!

I already did what I was told in the email, but now it tells me that I have restricted the payment for the connections, I tried to pay three times and I was refunded the money to my account.

Currently I have the money in my paypal account, they told me that I had to prove that the account was mine and I sent pictures of my ID and a tax invoice in my name, but they have not given me an answer to that.

In addition to this, I would like to talk to support again to get an answer because I need to make the payment as soon as possible to be able to apply for a job urgently because many days have passed and I am afraid that I will not be able to send my data because of the failure and I am in total disposition to collaborate with support and give the necessary data to find an effective solution.

Finally, I attach the ticket number so that you are aware of the situation.

Hi

I signed up on 27th and didn't receive any free connects. My friend who signed 2 days ago and referred me this site has received 50 free connects without any payment and also received many by completing tasks like watching videos. Can you please help whats wrong with my account?

Hi, I just registered my account and currently awaiting the authorization in order for me to buy the connect coin.  Aside from that, there is authorization for my ID which also currently pending. My question is how long it usually takes for the approvals to go through? Is there anything else that I need to complete before I can start browsing and applying for jobs?

I understand that you are unable to purchase Connects right now, don't worry! You can still showcase your skills and increase your chances of landing a contract without using Connects by creating a "Project Catalog."

 

The Project Catalog allows clients to discover your services. By creating a project, clients can view your listing and learn more about what you offer. Clients find you by searching for the skills and services you provide. You can find more information on how to get started with Project Catalog here.

I'm not sure how this works now but it seems that the plataform doesn't give you free connects anymore, so it seems i have to paid for connects, right?

 i have heared that after you create an upwork freelancer account you get 10 free connects every month but i have not receive any can anybody help!

I've heard some was able to still get some free connects upon signing up but I never did get anything at all and I've already signed up 3 months ago... even way before anything was up.... I just feel disappointed as a new user of Upwork looking forward to its endless possibilities that it may give to me... But sadly... nothing... even once...

If we buy first time then it's required for every month to buy connect or after buy connect 50 free can give from every month

After you make an initial purchase of 100 Connects for $15 USD, you receive 50 free Connects as a one-time bonus. You also receive 10 free Connects each month at the start of your monthly billing cycle. 

 

If you choose to subscribe to our Freelancer Plus membership plan and renew the plan every month for $20 USD a month, you will receive 90 extra Connects per month along with 10 free monthly Connects.
