Hi, this is my first time to join any online jobs and everything in here is pretty new to me. Can I have a tip from my seniors here on how to catch a good job here in Upwork? My line is in IT industry and hope I could get help and tips from you guys.

Maria, is there any sample of your previous work that you're allowed to share? You'd really need at least one or two portfolio pieces. Also, you've only taken an English test so far -- why wouldn't you take some tests that actually have something to do with the skills you're claiming to have?

Specialise as much as possible, at least at the beginning. Emphasise a particular skill that makes you exceptional. Don't be a know-it-all. That's not just the best way to get your first gig; that's the only way.
