Payment verification

Hi

I'm new freelacer. I sent propsal to a project and client interviwed me. I can complete the task and I have told client too. But problem is my and his payment both are not verified. I dont know what should I do? Please help me... I have posted this on freelancer too but no one replied 😞

Hi Sameel,

When working on Upwork, make sure that you have a contract with a client before doing any work, and ensure that they have a verified billing method so that the work you do can be covered by Upwork Payment Protection. How to make contract? Should I ask client to hire me and then I should proceed to next..

Hi Sameel,

In the future, please do not work on any project until a client has sent you an offer, you have accepted it, it's showing on your My Jobs page as an active contract, and the client's payment method is verified. I'd suggest browsing this thread which has helpful tips for new users and you can also check out this thread for tips on avoiding suspicious jobs and scams if you haven't already.

I have the same thing happening.  Is there a nice way to let them know they need to verify payment before I will begin the job?

Hi Sandra,

A lot of experienced freelancers have shared in the Community before that they simply let the client know that they will be happy to start working on the contract once the payment method is verified.
