Once a client releases payment for a milestone, there is a 5-day security period before the funds are available for withdrawl.

Once the funds are available, you can withdraw them at any time. If you have more than $100 (or whatever higher amount you set) in your Upwork account and don't withdraw manually, the funds will be automatically transferred on your next scheduled payment date.
