It is your choice. If you do not have Local Bank, Payoneer or any other form of payment methods, then you need one.

There are several payment options available to freelancers on Upwork. You may check out the list of available payment options in this help article. Please know that some options may not be available to you based on your location. To check which are available to you, you may go to your Settings page > Get paid link > and click on the Add method button. From there, you should see which payment options are available to you.
