Premium trial membership, Native English and email notifications not working.

I am not receiving email notifications of jobs. However, I did receive a welcome letter for verification of email address. Also I am not recognized as an English native speaker and receive message below. Please assist. Thanks.


I am a US born citizen that speaks native English. However when I bid I get this message:

You do not meet all the client's preferred qualifications
You may still submit a proposal, but the client will see that the proposal does not meet the following criteria:
English: Native


Also, I am signed up for the trial premium membership -300 but I am not receiving it.  

Please correct. Thank you.

Hi Angela, welcome to Upwork.


I checked and see you're not flagged on jobs which require native English proficiency. Regarding email notifications, you'll need to get a response first to one of your proposals in order for an email notification to be generated. I see you've selected the Basic membership plan, which you can upgrade to Premium at any time.


I checked your profile and would like to ask you to remove the website links from your Portfolio samples, which are in violation of our ToS.
