For hourly jobs you can only be working on one at a time.because you only track hours for the job you're working on. If youi want to take a break, or move on to another job, yoiu have to close that first job AND tracker, then open up tracker for the 2nd job etc.

if it's fixed rate, yes you can have 4 - 5 jobs that you're working on at one time. Make sure though that you can handle that many at once and deliver Professional, Quality results for each job.

Are you asking if you can bill several clients for the same time period using manual time (say you want to spend your morning working for client AND client B and log the hours between 9 and 2 o'clock to BOTH using manual time) then obviously that is not allowed.

When a client buys an hour of your time, that client buys the exclusive use of that hour.

You can accept any number of Jobs . There is no limit on it.

If it an hourly Job, You can work and track Hours on Job 1, then close it. Then Start working on Job 2 and track Hours and then Close it. Then You go to Job 3 and do the same. This can continue to job 4, 5, 6, 7,8 ,9,10, 11..........

As for the manual Hours You asked, if the client has allowed you and you like to use it fully knowing that it is not protected, You can just use any method to calculate time, it makes no difference.

In fixed Price Jobs, There is no question of tracking time as that is immaterial. You can work on Job 1, Job 2, job 3, 4,5,6...................

But the question that is most important to ponder is not specific to upwork.

That question is How many Jobs would you be able to handle simultaneously providing best quality work and meeting the deadlines?

After all, There are only so many hours in a day.

After carefully considering:

If the answer is 1...It is a good number

If the answer is 5 ...it is good number as well.

If it it 10000.....it is a good number.
