There are many reasons why accounts are suspended.
It is a normal thing. Don't worry. Sometimes it just means you're new and Upwork wants to confirm your identity.
You should have been sent an email message explaining what steps you need to take. Also, if you go to the Help section you should be able to see an open ticket with the same information.
