Re-Activate Old Account, Delete New One Created to Ask This Question

I'm not sure how it happened, but the account I intend to use as a freelancer is inactive. I can't register with the email or the username, nor can I login with either.

I've created this temporary account to ask the question, but I'd like to use my old account and delete this new one as soon as access is granted.

What steps do I need to take?
