Re: How client approve hourly job

Hi Joanne,

so if I received a 5 star review today (hourly contract), the client doesn't need to do anything else and it's normal to have the payment under "in review", is that correct?

Next week, the money will be "pending" and in two weeks I will be able to withdraw it? Correct?

thanks,

Hi Cesare,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I will be happy to help. I checked and it looks like you are referring to funds under the In review tab on your Overview page. I would like to clarify that this represents hours logged last week that are now under review by your clients. Clients have 5 days to review your work diary and your earnings should become available on the following Wednesday

When working hourly contracts, we automatically invoice all time that you log in the Work Diary to the client. The invoicing schedule is as follows:

  • Week 1 — You log time using the Upwork desktop app and Work Diary
  • Week 2 — Your clients receive their invoices on Monday and are given until Friday to review the work
  • Week 3 — Your earnings become available on the following Wednesday

You may want to check this help article for more information about getting paid for hourly contracts.

Let us know if you have further questions.
