Referring a friend

I have a friend who just joined Upwork. She applied to a job which was posted by one of my previous clients. I wanted to message my previous client on Upwork messages referring this friend. Are there any rules against this?

Thank you for reaching out to us. Yes, freelancers and clients on Upwork can refer others to each other as long as the relationship that results from that referral is also on Upwork.
