Removing "payment unverified" ads from feed?

Hi!

I'm a new freelancer here on upwork, and in my personal feed for jobs a lot of ads with the tag "payment unverified" show up. I'm not interested in these jobs, is there any way to remove those ads from my feed? The only solution I found is to do a manual job search with filters

ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Alright, so you've never had an issue with payment from those ads? My initial response when seeing the "unverified" tag is that those ads are not trustworthy enough, but maybe I should give some of them a shot?

I have had several good unverified clients. Just make sure before you accept a contract that payment is verified.

To me it makes no difference at all if the client verifies his payment method before or after his posts his job.

Alright, so you've never had an issue with payment from those ads? My initial response when seeing the "unverified" tag is that those ads are not trustworthy enough, but maybe I should give some of them a shot?

I've never had problems. Client are able to verify before hiring, but admittedly 99% of my jobs are fixed price where I believe it's impossible to hire before verifying. Your conclusion that they are not trustworthy is not valid and you might miss a lot of good jobs if you believe that.

Most of my clients have unverified payments when they hire me.  I just tell them that I cannot and will not begin working until their payment is verified.  Usually happens the same day.
