I got hired by**Edited for Community Guidelines**
The client is **Edited for Community Guidelines**
He asked me to talk to the program manager via telegram for further details, I did and the job is transcribing 100 images for $2000. I really need the money and I asked if I could screenshot the agreement, which I did and I can show that here. I looked at other notices about scams and they said that the other scammers used the same sentences "we are paying this much because of the intensity of the project".
Is the scam basically to get me to do this work and then not pay me?
In the job post it said the payment was in an escrow fund through UPWORK and that there is recourse if they don't pay or they dispute the work, is that in effect if they direct me to Telegram to get the job assignment?
I'm so frustrated because I've gotten 3 jobs in the last 18 months and they ALL have been scams.

Always stay on Upwork for payment or you are breaking the Terms of Service and are unlikely to get paid.

That wasn't a real job, the person didn't give you their real name, and they don't really work for whatever company name they gave you, so whatever agreement or contract they sent you was worthless. The scam is that when you finish doing the "work" they'll ask you for money for a "linking fee" or "currency conversion fee" or a "security badge" or some other nonsense. They'll keep asking you for money until you can't afford to pay them any more, then they'll disappear. Nobody on earth needs images or pdfs to be typed for them; they'll just throw out whatever work you send them.
You should stop believing everything that strangers on the Internet tell you, and also realize there's no such thing as an easy typing job that pays $2,000 - those are all scams. Real typing jobs are almost impossible to get, and don't pay well. It would be advisable for you to acquire some education/training/experience and find a better skill to offer, otherwise you'll just be wasting your time and money here.
