Client thanked me for my work and said they were pausing my contract because they were traveling. I have 3 hours of unpaid work for content I produced. I really don't think the client intends on paying, but I've been told that there are penalities for paused contracts. If I'm being scammed, how do I make sure I'm not penalized?

As long as you tracked your time when you worked using Upwork App, the client will be billed and charged according to the Weekly Billing Cycle. You can also check your Reports overview for more information whether the amount is currently under Review or Pending.
