Sending proposals

Hi, Upwork community,

Does applying for jobs without being hired impact on my profile?

As a newcomer on the platform, what are the ways to get hired by clients?

Hi Azharuddin,

Submitting proposals doesn't affect your profile, but the outcome of the projects you have with the clients does. You can find more useful information and advice on the freelancer resources we have compiled here. Try to read the proposal in detail, analyse your skillset according it. If possible for you keep your bid low, provided you are willing to deliver the quality service within quoted budget.

Keep some links ready in PDf where you can descibe about your work, and how effective you will be for the client.

Generally a clinet get 5-20 proposals, hence they may not read the entire profile of all freelancers, but if you send them well designed small pdf in attachment, that will really make difference. But do not brag about yourself, instead make the client feel, who valuable you are for the project you are sending the proposal.

And like in real life, not every proposal gets materialise, same is the case here, Do not take thing on your heart if client does not accept your proposal, move on and send another proposal to new client.

Have a happy journey at upwork. cheers
