There is no way to check this.

"Shortlisting" is something that clients do. It is a convenience for them.

For you, as the freelancer, you should do what I do, and what other experienced freelancers recommend:

You submit your job proposal, and then you forget about it. After you submit the proposal, it has nothing to do with you. It is not part of your life and not something that you think about it.

You will focus on the jobs that you have, and the new jobs that you are looking for and sending applications to.

IF a client contacts you, then your interest returns to that job.
