I recently created my account on UpWork. Since I am just starting out my freelancing career, I am not receiving any request, despite sending out at least close to fifty proposals already to clients, so I thought of trying in another platform, Freelancer.com.
After two days after I initially bid for a project, someone messaged me. I am so happy. But suddenly this person asked started asking me about my UpWork account. Saying that I will learn $300 without doing anything because he will use my account to accept Web Development job on UpWork.
Of course I did not give my account, because I find it sketchy. It is also unwise to give my UpWork credentials after it took me a while to have my account approved here.
But just a question, why are they doing that? What's the purpose? Just being curious.
