I'm new at UpWork. My question......I finally got my first job on UpWork and my client said I was "awesome" via a message and shared that he'll invite me to do another job next week, but has not rated me yet on this job yet. Could it be because this "completed" job still shows "in progress?" Although it was a one-time stand-alone job, I notice he paid as a milestone. Why would a client do this if it was a one-time job? Could this be the reason it still shows "in progress?" I just don't get it.
Any input is would be super.
Thanks, Marilyn

All fixed rate contracts are paid per milestone(s) - one or several.
The client is likely leaving the contract open to just add a second milestone next week.
Contracts show as "in progress" until they are actually ended / closed.
